KYDS - After School Programs

Keep Youth Doing Something Inc empowers under-served, low-income, and at-risk youth to fulfill their individual potential by participating constructively in the community. Through programming that integrates the efforts of community service providers, government officials and agencies, schools, law enforcement, private businesses and caring individuals, students are exposed to a wide array of educational enrichment opportunities. Keep Youth Doing Something Inc., is a 501 (c)3 nonprofit organization.

KYDS programs serve children in grades TK – 12th (ages 4 to 18+) living throughout Los Angeles and a few surrounding communities. We offer options for young people to experience new successes and expand their vision of possibilities in “safe havens” where children develop caring and respectful relationships with each other and with responsible, nurturing adults. It is our goal that the children and families we serve come away knowing that they have many attainable options and the power to make a positive impact on their community.

Our programs are designed to keep children and teens safe and engaged during the critical hours between the end of the school day, and the time parents return home from work. Youth participating in KYDS programs, reduce their odds of engaging in at risk behaviors, decrease the likelihood of falling victim to neighborhood crime, and they increase their chances of academic success!
