Girls Wrestling

WRESTLING

 

Wrestling is one of the toughest and oldest sports in the world. Monroe has offered it since the early 1990's. We have had many individuals come through and benefited from all the lessons that the sport has to offer.

 

The Boys Wrestling team is coached by Hernan Herrera an alumni of Monroe and the Wrestling team. Coach Herrera is an English teacher and is in his 3rd year as a coach.

 

The Girls team is coached by Jean-Antoine Ramirez and is a Physical Education teacher. He attended Birmingham where he wrestles for 3 years. 1988-90.

 

The Wrestling team participates year around in Folkstyle, Freestyle and Greco. The practice days are Monday, Wednesday and Thursdays from 3:30 to 5:30pm.

 

The Hammers Wrestling club team meets Tuesdays and Thursday 6pm to 8:30pm and is for ages 10-18. If you are interested please contact: [email protected]
