About Student Email Accounts

If you do not already have a MyMail.lausd.net account, you may set it up through Student Self-Service.
If you do not know your PIN or SSO, see the librarian for help.
Students who already have a MyMail account will need to reset their passwords in the Student Self-Service system because old passwords do not transfer to the new self-service system.
With this service, you may:
  • Activate your own new email account. 
  • Reset your current account, even from home.
In order to set up your own email accounts, you need to know your:
  • District ID number 
  • Date of birth 
  • PIN
Without this information, you cannot use Student Self-Service.
If you have difficulty, see Ms. Leonard in the library and she will assist you.
 


Why Get a MyMail account?

You need your MyMail account to check out your laptop. With a Google-powered MyMail LAUSD email account, you can:
  • Use Google's suite of collaborative tools: Drive (documents, presentations, forms, drawings), Calendar, and Sites. 
  • Access email at school without worrying about it being "blocked." 
  • Set up a Destiny Quest account. 
  • Personalize the Destiny Quest app. 
  • Set up personal folders on subscription databases in LAUSD Digital Library.
