Monroe Ensembles

String Orchestras
- Beginning Strings
- Want to learn a stringed instrument? The Beginning Strings class will teach to play violin, viola, cello, or bass. No experience necessary!
- Intermediate Orchestra (Bienvenidos Strings)
- This orchestra is primarily intended for English Language Learners, and is instructed in Spanish and in English.
- Advanced Orchestra
- The Advanced Orchestra is for students who already have experience with their stringed instrument. This class will study concert orchestra repertoire in an ensemble environment.
Concert Bands
- Beginning Band
- The Beginning Band is the perfect class to learn a new wind or percussion instrument, including flute, oboe, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, French horn, trombone, euphonium, tuba, and percussion! No experience necessary.
- Intermediate Band
- This group is for students who have some experience playing their wind instrument already, or who have already taken Beginning Band.
- Wind Ensemble/Jazz Band
- The advanced Wind Ensemble meets early mornings each week to play upper level repertoire. Participation in Intermediate Band is required.
- The Jazz Band meets early mornings as well to rehearse and perform big band repertoire. Participation in Intermediate Band is required.
Pageantry
- Winter Color Guard
- The Winter Color Guard rehearses and performs a competitive show each winter season.
- Winter Drumline
- The Winter Drumline rehearses and performs a competitive show each winter season.
- Marching Band
- The Marching Band rehearses and performs a competitive show as well as community events during the Fall semester.
Special Ensembles (new!)
- Choir
- Join our choir Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays afterschool in M2. No experience necessary!
- Guitar
- Join us afterschool in M2 to learn to play the guitar or ukulele!
