The application (Intent to Employ) IS NOT the actual Work Permit

A work permit is good for the entire school year or summer months, and is reviewed at the end of each term. ( This means that your attendance and GPA are checked.

A work permit will be revoked for:
  • 12 or more truant class periods.
  • GPA below 2.0

Once the permit is issued, a semester with a GPA below 2.0 will result in loss of permit, and the parent and employer will be notified. If the work permit is revoked, the student may apply to have their permit reinstated in the next semester.
