Principal's Message

 

Thank you for visiting our website. Here at James Monroe High School, our students are challenged at all levels including A.P. classes, Honors, AVID, Magnet Programs, Academies, and Smaller Learning Communities. We also offer an array of fine arts and technical art classes.

With over 25 clubs and a full slate of athletic teams Monroe students enjoy many opportunities to gain leadership and community skills, Service is a hallmark of Monroe students, with students earning upwards of 100 hours of community service recognition.

Monroe students develop critical thinking skills by analyzing and evaluating ideas and information. The faculty and staff develop positive relationships with students to guide them to be independent productive citizens.

The history of Scholars and Champions at Monroe is longstanding. Some of our highlights include an Award Winning Marching Band, a Leading Speech and Debate Team,  21-year JROTC Champions, National Robotics Team Title, Mock Trial Champions, and numerous athletic championships, including a 17-year Cross Country Team Title.
